About
I have always had a love of psychology and curiosity about people…
This passion and interest of mine led me to complete my undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in counselling and human development where I gained truly valuable knowledge and experience in the mental health field that I still use to this day.
As I explored more of the world and the subjects within it, I came across organizational psychology
I was fascinated by the idea of incorporating psychology into the business world and wanted to learn more. I found that some of my psychology idols, such as Brene Brown and Esther Perel, were also using their research on relationships, vulnerability and courage in the work settings. I was very fascinated by how this knowledge was so transferable and critical in the business world. There are countless organizations and thus people this research could help and I wanted to be a part of it. So, I enrolled to complete my Master’s Degree in Business and Organizational Psychology at Coventry University. I am also putting my knowledge from my degree into the real world working at an amazing start up called Launchtrip as the People and Culture Coordinator! There is nothing like a start-up environment to teach you what you need to know! I have been learning a lot about building a team and workplace culture from the ground up as well as the intricacies and details of creating policies, conflict resolution and all the other nitty-gritty HR stuff! Recruitment has also been a large part of my role where I am identifying, attracting, interviewing, selecting, hiring and onboarding employees.
I created this website
To share my knowledge about the organizational psychology field. I think that our workplace environments are rapidly changing and it is so important to talk about. All of us need to work in order to make a living and we spend so much of our time and energy doing this work. So, for me, it is incredibly important to talk about how businesses and organizations can make their day-to-day environments healthy, inclusive and supportive. Research has shown, over and over again, the many benefits that occur when organizations begin to value and take care of their employees. This is something I am extremely passionate about. Of course, there are so many other subjects within this field that will also be discussed here such as work and wellbeing, psychological assessment at work, individual differences at work, learning, training and development, consumer psychology, leadership, engagement and motivation.
Core Values
Creativity
Allowing creativity into my work and life provides me with a sense of freedom and fun, which I think is extremely important to have in life.
Growth
I always continue to learn and value the importance of having a growth-oriented mindset.
Hard work
As an immigrant to Canada, hard-work has been my best friend. It is how I have achieved what I have so far and it is what I rely on whenever I am challenged.
Collaboration
“Great things in business are never done by one person. They're done by a team of people.” - Steve Jobs
I love people and each person has something to offer and teach others and that is incredibly valuable.
